locking up at checking 'hlt'
 

allright i just installed Gentoo onto a very old system running on a pentiumpro, when i try to boot it seems to be fine up till when it says wher eit locks up, i tried passing the no-hlt at bootup, and still it locks up, only difference is it says disabled rather than OK on checking hlt instruction...is there any way to fix this? thanks much :)
