localhost

how do i change localhost to something custom, in mandrake 9.1?

I am a RedHat user, but Mandrake and RedHat are similar...
And since no one else has replied to your post...


In the /etc/sysconfig/network file,
add a name to the HOSTNAME= line.

I am also a Red Hat user and when I made the same change to my system I also had to add the new "custom" name to the /etc/hosts file. Hope this helps.
