live USB with 2 partitions ?

Hi Everyone

I have played with lots of live CDs but I haven't setup a USB key yet. I was just wondering. Does it sound logical to create two partitions on a USB key, write the live image to one and have the other as fat32 ?

If this is logical, the fat32 partition might be accessible from windoze. Data created from the live distro would then be available cross platform in a very simple format that would not require the end user to know how to install Linux.

Any feedback would be very welcome-Patrick

Pendrivelinux.com has a lot of ideas also.

Not sure if you need to have it live but it should also work as a normal install. Generally the fat partition has to be first but I'm not sure the newer windows cares anymore.
