Linux Wont reboot after a power cut

Hi. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04. yesterday, while my computer was in the "Suspend " state, there was a power cut in my house, afterwards my computer wont reboot, the terminal starts with the initial info' at the bottom of it, there is the message:
Code:
verifying pool Data.............
Boot from cd/DVD:
eror: no such Partition.
grub rescue>
It got stuck in that state. I have entered the computer with a live CD, pressed on GParted, and in the appropriate partition where my Linux is located, I did the 'Check and repair file system', I basically got a message there that it is all right, but it is not all right: i tried to shutdown and boot normally, but it won't, the grub options menu is not coming up. please help [i hope it is not so bad that i would have to reinstall], thanks.

See http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/howto-b...x-rescue-mode/. You will get the option automatically in the rescue mode.
