Linux unable to boot, filesystem read only

Hey guys im using fedora 8 and i was enabling acl on /, i edited fstab and put the required options then when i restarted the system wont boot and its saying on the screen that filesystem is readly, i guess the last thing i did was the culprit but now i cant change it since the filesystem is readonly

Is there any other way to fix this without re-formating my system.

Throw in a livecd, mount the filesystem, revert your changes or remount the filesystem in a writable form manually.
