Question Linux System To Be Used In a Film.

Myself an my collogue are in the process of writing and maikn a new film based on hacking..

We are to use Linux as our system that will be used for hacking as it is already use widly in the hackning industry (to my knolwdge) and also the fact of programming on windosws looks cack..

once the process had been designed.. we need to write a program that gives the impression that the main character has hacked into the system of a weapons company..

as i am new to linux and many programming languages i was wondering if any memebr of LQ is up to the task of producing a program or similar to be used in our film...

also if anyone could help be in creating a customisable loading screen for linux ( similar to the animated Windows XP logo on windows start up) to cover the loading scrpits of a slakware boot up..

all suggestions and ideas will be greatly appreciated..

once i have images and final layout desigs for the GUI of the hack i will passthem on.

is it possible to make a command propt base interface and a GUI interface that will give the impression of the hac being done from the console.. similar to the ssh hack done in the matrix films..

Many Thankx

you can use the gui startup screens from mandrake (and edit them, i'm told) if you use the gui option on startup. As far as the hack, you can setup a program to print crap on the screen, and wait for the enter key to print more crap. Then all your actor has to do is type bolony on the screen and hit enter.
