Linux system benchmarking?

Hey there. I was wondering...are there any (preferably free & Open Source) benchmarking programs for Linux? I'm thinking along the lines of something that tests the full systems, such as sandra.

Any suggestions?

Thanks much,

Jeremy Pedersen

well, as used by top500.org, is linpack, http://www.netlib.org/linpack/
or, as netlib says linpack is outdated, try lapack, http://www.netlib.org/lapack/

as far as i've ever bothered investigating, they're both just really long bits of code, methinks you still need to have fortran installed.

Hmm....thos both look like they're designed to test the performance of my processor. I was looking for something a little more all-inclusive. I'll try one out though.
