Linux Stereo System
Ok, I've got an old P-120 tower sitting, gathering dust, so I thought it'd be a cool idea to turn it into a stand-alone stereo-system, with a little LCD and remote to control the tunes. What I need are some suggestions as to which parts I should choose, LCD/remote wise, and maybe where to get them. Also, which Distro would you think best? I'm thinking about flying with Fedora Core 2, but I won't be using GUI at all. I'm hoping to have Linux installed and working in under 500 megs. I'm not sure what else to ask, but any help would be appreciated.

Ive had the same idea for about a year now and I finally started it up but ran into some problems. I would go with a very slim version like DSL or tinylinux, I tried to use DSL but it doesnt have the dev-libs so I ran into a problem. I think I am going to go with slack cus I am running it already and I can leave out all the extra stuff. Ive always thought it would be cool cuz with a decent audio card, Speaker setup and running XMMS is actually better and more convienent than an actual stereo.
