Linux startup step by step
I have looked in a few books and searched around and really cannot find the answer
to this question. So I will post it here, since I guess its a general question.
Though if anyone thinks it would be better answered in another forum, I would gladly
post it there.
Heres my questions.
Now I run a Redhat/Fedora system em here if that helps.
I'm looking for a step by step detailed explanation of the boot process.
Now some parts don't have to be in great detail.
I'm really looking for which startup scripts are called while booting, the
main ones. The highest level scripts that are called no matter what services
are set to be started on your system. The ones that are responsible for calling
all the other ones scripts.
Example: If script A calls script B which calls script C which
sets up some services, if you could help point me to A then I can
do the work to get from A to the service.
I hope its not completely confusing what I am asking for.
Thanks ahead of time.
