Linux Redhat Partitions

I need QUICK help please...I am installing Linux RedHat and I need to know what size the partitions need to be... Pleas give a list of needed partitions, and the size that you recommend...
I have a 4GB partition reserved for it. Thankyou in advance. Please reply fast, because i am installing it on my other computer RIGHT NOW.. I have Windows 2000 btw. And I have installed mandrake b4, but i am a newbie to Redhat.
It's Redhat 8.0 psych
My processing speed is 333MHz P2, and I have a very old video card(4MB) and sound card. Which brings another problem...
Where can I get something for redhat that will detect my sound card, well not detect it, but get it to play sound. It did not play sound when i used mandrake, and i had to get a special installer for windows to use it.
Thx in advance
Linux Newbie

You can let the installer auto partition the free space. You should select expert mode just to have complete control so it doesn't wipe out XP.

Simple install is one big / partition and a swap file of 2x ram or if you have lots 512mb works ok.

You will probably have problems with the video card. What kind of sound card do you have?

redhat is pretty good at detecting and auto-configuring sound cards... i wouldn't be worried. if it doesn't, i'm sure there is a hacked driver you can download. same for video.

If you're confident, try slackware. It's an elegant distro that I like a lot. ;)
