This is taking on the look of a download problem. Are you verifying the download as Red Hat suggests?

no, how do you do that?

i know for sure that the first disk is ok but the second one seems to have problems and im not sure about the third one...maybe if i verify it I wont have to go through all this trouble. How do I verify the iso file?

From the Red Hat download site:

After downloading the ISO images, you can look at Red Hat's MD5 checksums for the ISO images to ensure that your download was successful. Do this by running the md5sum program from a shell prompt against your ISO images and comparing the values returned against the ones published by Red Hat. The file from Red Hat containing the official md5sum values is called MD5SUM and is located in the same directory as the ISO images on the FTP site.

The following illustrates the correct syntax for the md5sum command:
md5sum <isofilename>

In the above command, replace <isofilename> with the correct file name.

If you haven't read this information, you can read it at:

http://www.redhat.com/download/howto_download.html

I think there is a program you can find for windows to allow you to check the iso.

md5sum must be run under Linux. The Windows equivalent can be found at:

http://www.md5summer.org/

You can download it and follow the instructions that came with your Red Hat download

Ok, I figured it out! All the isos I downloaded were ok but when I was burning them (plextor 48X drive) I was burning at 48X so i guess it was too fast, i lowered the speed to 16X and it all went well! The first disk I had was a 16X compatible so it always worked well.

Thanks alot guys!
