I need some help with finding a dist. of linux that will work on the old hemp that will run xwindows "hopefully KDE" It has no cd-rom... but it's has floppy and I can install a network card and a bigger hard drive up to a gig...
i have slackware 10.1 on a compaq 486dx2 machine. it has a 2GB hard drive (but about a 1GB is only used by linux) with 16MB of RAM. it also has no CDrom drive.
installation was done via NFS and the installation was booted of using loadlin.
thanks. will look into into it but I was knida hoping that linux can be installed with floppy more than nic because the I also have a few old 486 laptop's that only have floppys...
