I have downloaded Mint Linux live CD to try out, I have burned it 2 a cd and tried booting it. When ever i select 'Start or Install Linux Mint' it hangs for a while and then an error message comes up saying 'error on cd reboot' I then reboot and try 'Start or Install Linux Mint safe graphics mode' it then boots up into a console mode. I dont know what to do...
Distribution: Switched to regualr Ubuntu, because I don't like KDE4, at all. Looks like vista on crack.....

How much ram do you have in that machine ? You need a minimum amout of ram for most modern installers to work. For the true ubuntu's, you need 256Mb min. mint is based on ubuntu these days, so I imagine it's similar. Did you verify the burn ? Might be as simple as a bad burn or cheap media.
Not if you have a bad burn. Do you still have the ISO image on the HDD? If so, I'd suggest trying again. Make sure you are using a quality CD, and also a slower speed (8x or less).
