Hi Forum,

What is the main difference between the GPL type of license and an other OPEN source licenses ?

I checked of google but couldn't figure out the difference.

I think the BSD license allows for software to become proprietary, while GPL doesn't...

I really don't know how many different Open source liceses there are...

On the left side of the link I provided, you'll see a list of approved open source licenses. Each license link takes you to the license text. The text of each is clearly written, in plain language - so you shouldn't need a lawyer to understand them.
