linux lcd kvm madness

so i am sharing a samsung syncmaster 760V TFT lcd monitor between a linux system(debian with nvidia drivers installed)and a windows system(for testing). they are both connected with a high end linksys kvm switch. when i fine tune the display for text within the windows box, the text on the linux box looks blurry. i was wondering if anyone has a similar setup and knows of a way to compromise. i know that i could run them both at different resolutions but that is not an option i can take. i was hoping that there may be an linux app to tweak the display. i have already tried xvidtune and also have both machines running at the same vertical and horizontal refresh. any help/ideas most appreciated!
