What is the best distro for labtops?

Simple: The one you like best and most comfortable with..

I don't mean to come off as a sarcastic smartelic but this type of question is asked literally daily, a search will probably give you the same type of responses and results I just gave you and a lot of them will give you others opinions, which is the most frequent answer to such questions since there is no "best" for anything.. the one you choose is the best!
