Linux - KDE or just X - My fonts are UGLY!

The title pretty much sums it up.

RH7.1
Fresh install.
Everything installed.

And the console fonts, etc. are fine, but in things like Mozilla, Netscape, etc, the fonts look TERRIBLE. If I increase the size, they just look so blocky like they belong on a Commodore 64...

Any help for me out there?

if it's just in netscape, set the font to override in the preferences

When I ran Mandrake 8 the fonts were awful all over the gui. Now that I moved to Mandrake 8.1 everything is great. I never did get 8 to look right but 8.1 was great right out of the box.

what you are looking for is Anti-Aliased fonts. Comes in KDE 2.2.1, and it looks wonderful. But you must upgrade or wait for Red Hat 7.2 to get it.

And you must have XFree 4.0 or higher IIRC
