Linux Interface freeze

Hello,

I have some problem and hope that somebody will help me.

We have about 15 machines on Linux OS now and all of them are working fine.
But some of them have problem with interface. So, to open anything it will take at least 1 minute after mouse-click. And these wierd machines have the same hardware and configuration (packages) as good ones, but for some reason they just frozen. All process on the background seems to be fine, but the interface is terrible and when we should to shange something we have a trouble. It does not matter what you are going to do on this "slow" machines (open terminal, open network settings, open browser and etc.) it will take 1-2 minute to open something.

So, can somebody help me to resolve this issue, please?

Best regards,
Oleg

sounds like a hardware problem, obviously, although it could be a random problem of some kind.
have you tried reinstalling linux on this machine?

Randomblast,

Thank you very much for your help.

No we did not try to reinstall Linux. Should we do it?

I am not an expert in Linux, but I know that in Windows there is some power settings like "turn hard drive down after xx minutes". Does Linux have something like this? Or am I on the wrong way?

Thank you very much,
Bes regards,
Oleg
