Smile Linux Install w/ Floppies?

Hey all,

I'm sittin' here enjoying my honestly too long winter break, and what would come to my attention but an ancient Compaq laptop without CDROM that is just SCREAMING for a Linux distro?

I was thinking of downloading some floppy stuff from FreeBSD and install that, but I was wondering if anyone out there has installed a Linux/BSD distro using just floppies, and would feel like giving me some pointers on it (as in what distro would suck installing this way, what distro is the easiest and quickest to download and fling onto floppies, etc.).

Thanks a million!!!

edit:

I'm currently at a place with reeeeeeeally slow internet, so an internet install is out of the question.... being online costs money by the whole minute, and it ain't my money, so I guess I ain't spendin' it.. but yeah, so no FTP install or what-have-you.

If the PC could not handle a GUI install, Zipslack can be installed from floppies.
A better solution is to yank the drive, temporally connect it to another PC and copy files onto the formated drive. Zipslack, Vector or whatever. Then reinstall the drive and run the install program (if needed).
