Question Linux (FC8) + Samsung Blackjack

Has anyone had success connecting their Samsung Blackjack to a Fedora Core 8 (x86_64) installation?

Each time I try to connect I get:
Quote:
Couldn't display "obex://[my phone's address]".
Check if the service is available.
I've seen successful attempts posted in other environments (see http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=341487 as an example), but nothing for the Fedora distributions.
