Linux data recovery
Is there any sort of script, tool, software package, distro... whatever... out there that can help me put 2 XFS partitions back together? They partition table got edited by an installer that was supposed to be altering the 2nd harddrive (it edited that one too... but in the way it was told.... Hurray for old versions of Mandrake), so all the data should still be there. I just don't know how to get it back w/o using some over priced data recovery service I can't afford.
I know they use special software to do that stuff, and was hoping that there has been some attempt out there for a FOSS alternative.
Found my answer at LinuxForums. TestDisk. Comes with a lot of the big
distros and is on a lot of the liveCDs too.
