linux boot failed after configuring network interfaces in the boot procss
 
the computer hangs after "configuring network interfaces" in the boot procss,why?
i search the internet for a long time ,but no answer.
i want to know what is the step after "configuring network interfaces" in the boot procss

You might want to let everybody know which distro you are using.

Can you tell whether it actually completes the "configuring network interfaces" step? If it is trying to do DHCP and there is no DHCP server available, it might take a while before it realizes it can't do that and moves on. I've seen it take up to maybe a couple of minutes. Maybe you were not patient enough?

Most distros have a single user mode where it boots with almost no services started (some what analogous to "safemode" in MS Windows). This would allow you to actually boot up so you could look at the initialization script(s) and see what should come next. The initialization script(s) are handled differently by different distros. To boot into single user mode, at the boot prompt:
