Cool Linux boot disk

just wondering...
when installing linux and gives u the option to create a boot disk...
im runnin it on a laptop with no floppy drive..
is it possible to create it on an external zip drive...
i just installed trustix secure linux and it wont allow be to boot without a boot disk...

ok ... what ever happened... now windows wont boot...'cant load os' ..... tried formatting drive and windows is spittin out all sorts of crap..... i think im ready to cry
