sure lilo isn't installed?
Are you sure that lilo is not installed?
If you have an /etc/lilo.conf file, add these lines to it:
other=/dev/hda1
optional
label=winxp
assuming winxp and redhat are on your primary ide channel on the master drive, winxp being on the first partition and redhat being somewhere after that.
if you can get a win9x boot floppy, you may be able to ..
reformat or copy the system/boot files to your mbr on your harddrive, I'm not sure what the command for sure is though. it may be something like sys /c:, format c: /s, or sys /mbr or something? I forget, look into it before you do anything like that.
I installed Redhat 7.1 on my laptop/dual boot with win98, and now when I try to get to 'dos' from the redhat prompt, it starts up but stops and says 'HIMEM.SYS' is missing. ?
