Linux and Sis chipset

Anyone here have experience running Linux on a mainboard with the Sis 735 chipset? The Mandrake website doesn't list this chipset as one that is supported. I'm about to build my second computer and wanted to try a board with this chipset.

Is Linux really particular about the chipset it will run on?

Hum... Dunno but the Sis 735 isn't listed in the kernel as a buggy/now fixed chipset. I suppose you will have to try.

Maybe Mandrake just forgot this chipset they are human after all

You don't happen to remember where you found that video driver, do you?

If you do - could you let me know?

Thanks...............John
