Linux and printing

Hi All,
Wanted to find out a couple of things regarding printing and Linux. If I set up a Linux server as a print server, and have windows machines print to it, those clients would need to have the driver built-in right? There is no way for them to acquire the driver from the linux print-server if I understand how it works. Is this correct? Is there some other way around it?

Thanks,
Pair
