Angry Lilo not installing properly

When I installed my distro (slack 8.1) I had the prompt that asked me for were I wanted Lilo to be installed to. I was forced to choose boot disk becase it said that it was having some kinda stupid prob with somethin... (I dont know somtin crazy!) Well, Ive got the system up and running just fine except I have to use the boot disk in order to load hd1. I want to know how I can get lilo to install onto hd1 to that it will boot strait from the hard drive and not the flopy.

Copy the mbr of floppy to hdd

do I want to install a superblock or do it to the MBR ?

Is there a file on your bootdisk called lilo.conf? If so, copy the contents over to /etc/lilo.conf and then like rverlander said /sbin/lilo to install lilo to the MBR.

Not too sure on the superblock thing, but you want MBR

Hint: lilo.conf is usally @ /etc/lilo.conf
