Lilo has stopped me getting at windows

I am getting errors when i boot to windows saying that the following file is missing or currupted: A:\IFSHLP.SYS and i need to identify the windows boot file. Can anyone help me do it? Book disks don't help and i think lilo caused it since the problem would appear to be in the boot partition. Lilo.conf contents:
Code:

Which windows are you running?
ifshlp.sys is located in the c:\windows directory.

Have you tired booting the windows install CD or booting a DOS floppy disk and running the scandisk program?

Ok i created a boot floppy for me using another PC and I was informed that my c: is not a Fate 32 partition which i know it is since i can access it fine from linux. I then obtained scandisk but i can only get it to run a scan on the floppy. Can anyone help me out here?

What windows version are you running?

Boot to linux and su root. Run the followng console command:

fdisk -l /dev/hda (That is a small L).

What does the output indicate for hda1?
