LILO and GRUB

Out of curiosity if I put on slack on my brothers computer which has FC3 on it and I let LILO install aswell, what would happen? Would it get made and have a hissy fit and not let me boot? Or would it have me use grub and not even let me see LILO? :-P

I'm kinda curious because I've had nasty problems doing fixmbr. AKA I've lost my entire hard drive. I would like to just toss in slack without having to play with his MBR because he seems to loathe backups.

When you install slack you can choose whether you install lilo to the mbr or not. If you choose not to then you can use the fedora bootloader to boot slackware.

don't install a boot loader with slackware. The best way I've found is to have a shared /boot directory and install grub (only with one distro!) and have it to all the booting.

I do have a boot partition on it but that means I'd have to use a boot disc to get into slack to edit the grub config

Hmm. The choices the choices.
