library error when instaling eterm
 

when i install eterm wich i downloaded source and rpm the srouce say i need libAST 0.5 or higher and it asks me if it wants me to download if for me but it doesn't work and i get ERROR : unable to auto-get libast, sorry

well i got it my self and i guess it installed itself in usr/local it installed fine to my knoledge but i still get the error when i try to install eterm either the source or the rpm now i know the files i need are on my hard drive but its just not seein it and i am kinda a noob bout 2 months of linux now.. but i know alittle soo help me out here
