I'm in the process of installing snort, and it says I need to install libpcap. Where should install it on my system? Any ideas?

Thanks.

I don't think it has to go anywhere in particular, I put mine in /usr/local and copied the binaries to /usr/local/bin, I suppose you could put it in /usr/bin or wherever snort lives, but the general rule is put programs you install in /usr/local so you know what you've installed versus what the system put in on its own.
