Lexmark x83

Im thinking about buying a Lexmark x83 printer; yes one of those scanner, printer and copier in one. I am worried at the fact that im not sure if I am gonna be able to print and scan with it under linux. Lexmark currently does not support drivers for linux, to what i know. Any suggestions? should I buy it or not? Is it gonna work?
Thankz. :)

I have a z53 which is supported by Linux I don't believe the X83 is at this time according to there site I would however email or better yet call customer support to see if there's a way around it.

Another thing I had to use new generation lpr instead or cups to get my printer to work.

I have x63 which supports computer less faxing , and it doen's work on linux. Whichever printer you buy check this site which gives the names of priters supported.

http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/

and BTW lexmark does supports linux drivers but only for z models because those are business oriented printers (costly ones).
