LDAP error
 
Hello,

I'm trying smbldap-installer (http://www.vcsvikings.org/docuwiki/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/),
after installation compeleted and then reboot, the
following error appear when booting the system:

Performing database recovery to activate new settings.
bdb_db_open: Recovery skipped in read-only mode. Run manual recovery if errors are encountered

Please help !

where does it say it's an error? is something actually wrong?

But this message held when booting linux, do you know how to fix

ok, well did you try googling that message then? there are a lot of useful looking hits for it, e.g. http://techarold.blogspot.com/2006/0...-recovery.html

Hi,

'Just' feed google most of the error: unclean shutdown bdb_db_open: Recovery skipped in read-only mode will give you a few hits.

it crashed again
harold's tech notes
Corrupt DB after Reboot

BTW: Is ldap shutdown correctly when you stop your machine? That seems to be the main reason for db corruption.
