large directory while it is empty

yes, AlJazeera directory had contains with 2.5G
after delete the coantains the size of AlJazeera not changed.

later on, i delete Aljazeera directory then recreate it, the size of ALJazeera changed
but it shown that the /home still 98% same as before.

is that mean file system corrupted?

I already delete the AlJazeera directory then recreate it, the size of the directory reduced but the /home not affected
