Labeling discs with cdrecord

With any Windoze CD-burning software it's simple to define a label or title for each disc, so that the label will be visible, for example, in Windows explorer.

Now, I was wondering how you can (or can you?) do the same thing with cdrecord? Looking through the list of cdrecord options, I didn't notice anything like that. This is the one option that could be what I'm looking for:

mcn=text Set the media catalog number for this CD to 'text'

...but I'm not sure about that.

Any information on this would be appreciated :)
