Korn (Mail Alert) and Kmail

Hello

How Kmail must work with Korn? I setup the Kmail accounts with my mail boxes and work fine. But I want to see if I receive new message or not without pressing the "receive" button. Therefore, I'm trying to setup the Korn. I did as I believe everything right. But nothing happened. If I have new messages I don't see any changes on Korn window. What should I do? Does Kmail should run all the time ?

Thanks
