konqueror hijacked
Helllo everyone, this morning I was checking my email with firefox and whilst doing this my konqueror browser kept opening the Fedora Core 3 home page that is on my machine and within a matter of seconds there were more than 15 and more opening. Has any one had this happen before? and if so how can I stop this from happening. I do have default firewall setup. Thanks in advance, Ed.

Did you logout of your KDE desktop whilst konqueror was still running?
|
No I did not, what I did was as logged into a ternimal as root then shut down my network service, then closed out all the konqueror windows
|
Sorry, I meant that in a previous session did you log out whilst konqueror was still running coz this can result in konqueror restarting when you log in again. I may be way wrong though, it could be something else.

no problem, and no I did not logout while konqueror was running. I had just started the machine for the morning (I close out any open windows or applications before shutting down the previous evening) and this happened within a few minutes of my being online.
