I just upgrade to KDE v2.2.2 using the packages from the slackware-current tree. Everything is working great except JavaScript within Konqueror.

I have enabled JavaScript in the configuration options but JavaScript on pages doesn't work (e.g. Hotmail tells me that JavaScript is not installed).

I checked the console output and found this error message:

kdecore (KLibLoader): WARNING: library=kjs_html: file=/opt/kde/lib/kde2/kjs_html.la: cannot open shared object file: cannot load shared object file: No such file or directory

Anyone got any idea what causes this error and how I fix it?

Give Mozilla a try

you can try to reinstall konq, i use it whenever i am in KDE and never have problems with javascript..

I think mozilla 1.8a2 has the same behaviour too ( no response for javascript-enabled buttons/ popup). ANy idea how to go around this? p/s : fyi, the javascript is always enabled for navigator.
