Knoppix / Debian question

Hey guys... I am .::BeatFactory::. (the other :'s wouldn't fit during registration)

I am using Knoppix on my machine at home. I tried to use my g/f's PC to boot the Knoppix live cd but ran into a few problems. The distro would not even run.

Here's what came up when I booted:

It took me to the home screen which I just typed "knoppix lang=en-US" next to boot:

It immediately came to an error...

It said:
" Error: Only one processor found.
MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC

Welcome to KNOPPIX live (CD or something)

Probing SCSI...aic7xxx.o"

I tried to Google some info on this with no luck. I lurk here every now and then try to find answers to my questions but this I couldn't find.

The PC's specs are (as much as I know):
1.67GHz Athlon XP 2000+
512MB DDR SDRAM memory
NVIDIA nForce 420D
AC97 Audio

Thanks in advance!

Try the 'noapic' option. When you hit F2 at the first screen you get a list of available options.
