KMail is a git

I just tried out KMail and to my delight, it's taken all the mail out of my /var/spool/mail/chris folder and put it all in it's own location. how the arse can i put it back to where it was????

last time i use a nice pretty program... or is there a mail client that always leaves mail where it found it? just like good old pine.
