khotkeys and mouse gestures?

Hey, I just found out about KHotKeys in KDE 3.2 and the mouse gestures feautre. However, I can't quite get it to work. My problem is that I don't know how to enter the "keyboard input" that results from a mouse gesture. There's just a blank box for me to type stuff into, and it won't work if I enter something like "Control+1". So I guess my question is, in what type of format am I supposed to enter the "keyboard input"?
