Keyboard Mouse Monitor Detection

Is there a way i can boot linux so that it doesn't worry about if there is a keyboard, monitor or mouse attached, cause right now it is attached to a manual switch and when it boots, as its loading it beeps when loading linux until i turn the switch so it detects either the keyboard, mouse or monitor, then it starts going again, then i can turn the switch back after that and it boots fine, it would be better if i could get rid of that part, but still be able to use it when i switch over when i need it..............ideas?

Hello
Linux should boot without kb etc. If the box is beeping, and keeps beeping until it sees the kb/mouse, I would suggest thats something in the bios. Theres probably something like halt on keyboard enabled.

negative, keyboard is set to absent in bios, it goes through bios fine, but when it comes up to the
"Loading linux......."
thats where it stops, and its not a bios beep, its a suttle ticking beep until i through the switch
this is what i have in my lilo.conf, am i missing something

boot=/dev/hda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
timeout=0
message=/boot/message
linear
default=linux

image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.2-2
label=linux
read-only
root=/dev/hda1
