Keyboard conflicts with mouse

Hi there,

I have an USB Logitech mouse and a Microsoft PS/2 keyboard.
They never had a problem working together in mandrake and debian.
Recently I installed Gentoo for AMD64 on a new machine with same mouse and keyboard, no problem.
Then, I installed Gentoo for x86 on the same machine so I would be able to use ATI's drivers, there I have the problem. When using both the keyboard and the mouse simultaneously the mouse starts to jump over the screen clicking randomly. while this isn't very common in everyday use, I can't play games (like UT2004) this way (especially when holding the flak cannon :) ).
I tried switching between /dev/mouse /dev/psaux and /dev/input/mice Auto,PS/2,IMPS/2,ImPS/2 ...

TIA

What is the point of installing x86 If you have a AMD 64 processor?

If you are having a AMD64 processor the most compatible distro is Gentoo AMD64, because x86 wont correctly with AMD64 architecture.
One of the main advantages of using Gentoo is you can have a well optimized system.
My advice is you should not dedicate efficiency of whole system for just ATI graphic card (or what ever).
You got two Main solutions,
1) Find an appropriate ATI drivers for AMD64 arch.
(Some time you could find some help on drivers from Gentoo Forums, forums.gentoo.org)
2) Change your graphic card to a compatible one.
(So you can have a fast & efficient system)

thanks but currently I'm dual booting both, I use x86 Gentoo only for games.
