First of all, as this is your first post, welcome to LQ

What happens when you try to load a live cd? What errors do you get? Did you burn the cd's yourself?

Question hello

Thanks for replying. Well I tried loading Ubuntu, Kubuntu, OpenSuse 10.2 and Fedora 7 Live CDs... It says uncompressing linux, the ststus bar fills up to 100%... and then there is a blank screen, with nothing happening even if I leave the computer on for a while, none of the LEDs on the box blink... I'm wondering if it's an issue with the motherboard. Is this type of an error common?
Ubuntu and Kubuntu were shipped to me... The other two I burned myself by downloading the ISOs...

here is all that I know about my box
Quote:
MSI RC410M-L - Motherboard
Intel Pentium D 2.8 GHz Processor
ASUS EN7300TC512 Graphics Card
1 GB DDR2 ram
Thanks again
