kernel signature verification failed...

hi...
-----------------------------------------
Verify the integrity of your files. If you have not yet grabbed a copy of the OpenPGP key used for distribution software from kernel.org, do so now
gpg --keyserver wwwkeys.pgp.net --recv-keys 0x517d0f0e
and verify the files
gpg --verify linux-a.b.c.tar.gz.sign linux-a.b.c.tar.gz
--------------------------------------------

well.. these files ..kernel and kernel...sign are from www.kernel.org
also i found out that their httpd server and ftp server have slightly different size of kernels. and sign file on http server is empty!
what the..
are they hacked?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[eugene@eugene tmp]$ gpg --keyserver wwwkeys.pgp.net --recv-keys 0x517d0f0e
gpg: requesting key 517D0F0E from wwwkeys.pgp.net ...
gpg: key 517D0F0E: public key imported
gpg: /home/eugene/.gnupg/trustdb.gpg: trustdb created
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg: imported: 1

[eugene@eugene tmp]$ gpg --verify kde-eugene/linux-2.4.18.tar.gz.sign linux-2.4.18.tar.gz
gpg: Signature made Mon 25 Feb 2002 02:42:44 PM EST using DSA key ID 517D0F0E
gpg: Good signature from "Linux Kernel Archives Verification Key <ftpadmin@kernel.org>"
Could not find a valid trust path to the key. Let's see whether we
can assign some missing owner trust values.

No path leading to one of our keys found.

gpg: WARNING: This key is not certified with a trusted signature!
gpg: There is no indication that the signature belongs to the owner.
gpg: Fingerprint: C75D C40A 11D7 AF88 9981 ED5B C86B A06A 517D 0F0E
