kernel problem unable to boot

When I boot my PC into my fedora core 3 linux system, I get an error messaging saying that the kernel does not support the file system I am using (xfs, jfs)
This happened straight after I accidentally installed the wrong version of the ntfs drivers, reinstalled the proper version and then rpm -e the old one.
After this due to a power problem the pc restarted.

Does anyone have any idea what I have to do to fix it.

I don't know. Things I would think about:

The module (driver) for the root file system must either be compiled into the kernel or it must be in the initrd file (which in turn must be loaded by your boot loader).

If it's not the root partition, maybe the /etc/fstab file list one/some of the files as type auto, and the partitions got corupted in the power failure. (not likely)

Maybe you accidentally uninstalled a file system module.

I'm only guessing because I don't know what kind of error you are seeing.

Good luck
