kernel@vger.kernel.org

But this is the kernel mailing list, its the kind of place where you talk about serious low level scary black magic kernel hacking. Not the sorta place where you say "2.4.x won't compile for me...". I signed up to the list for about a week and only understood about 2 emails, then thats was only because they were 'off topic'!

You might want to join linux-net@vger.kernel.org or linux-admin@vger.kernel.org Have a look at http://vger.kernel.org I think there is a list of the available lists there somewhere.

cheers

The mage speaks the true voice. One cannot comprehend the conjurings of kernel processes without the ability to summon at least three of the four earthly elements at will. A favorable roll of two 20-sided dice will also increase your chances of survival. Do not be fooled by the 'off-topic' replies. They consist merely of the digested remains of those who thought thye could challenge.

I'll stick with my magic 8-ball and ./configure, make, make install scripts thank you very much.
