Kernel config options

Hello,

I can recompile my kernel with a default ./config (I got it from /boot) file.
What I want is to compile a kernel for a server where I "only" need raid, quota, sata, ext3, ... support but not usb, wlan, ...

Where can I find any detailed information about kernel options and what I really need and what are unnecessary and/or how to optimize it for a LAMP server.

Thanks!

the help system within the kernel offers plenty of advice about each option.

Is there maybe a guide which modules make really sense to switch off/on?

The help is good, but a lot of time I don't really know if I really need it or not? (eg.: i2o)
Anyhow make it sense to investigate a lot of time in this topic or just enable RAID and quota support, recompile and that is enough?

Thanks!
