Question kernel compiled with raid support?

Hello everyone,

I had a spare disk on my production server and I wanted to make the server to be on software raid 1 disks.
I have created a raid drive on the machine to be mounted as /tmp
(its on /dev/md0). I also want my / filesystem to be on raid 1 partition. Any suggestions? Is my kernel compiled with software raid support? How can I know that?
