I'm trying to compile the 2.6.10 kernel from kernel.org, but when I come to module_install, I get allot of unresolved symbols errors.
e.g: depmod: unresolved symbol in blablalba...
I'm running debian sarge with the 2.6.4 debian stock kernel. I've also got all the required programms.
The configuation has been done with xconfig.
I've been searching google for 2 days now and hav not found any usefull solutions.
One solution I've found was to add some C code to my module sources and compile them by hand, but I get about 100 error messages. I am not planning to compile over 100 modules one by one.
#if defined( CONFIG_MODVERSIONS ) && ! defined( MODVERSIONS )
/* modversions.h should be before should be before module.h */
#if defined( MODVERSIONS )
/* Now your module include files & source code follows */
command after edditing the source file:
D__KERNEL__ -DMODULE -DLINUX -O2 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes
-fno-strict-aliasing -fno-strict-aliasing -c -o xyz.o xyz.c
Now, if this hack works, can someone please give me some information about how to use it and what to do because I don't really get it...
I also hope someone can help me get rid of those errors, because I'm really getting frustrated...
